A Front Row Seat on the Tundra!
University students in remote locations will be able to join us for live broadcasts from the shores of Hudson Bay as Polar Bears International once again launches its "Tundra Connections" outreach from "Tundra Buggy One."
The sessions will take place during the polar bear migration in Churchill. The week devoted to university students includes both webcasts and video conferences:

PBI's educational partners for Tundra Connections include: Dr Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots, Immersion Learning, and Parks Canada. The sessions will take place during the polar bear migration in Churchill. The week devoted to university students includes both webcasts and video conferences:
- The sessions will focus on polar bears and climate change.
- The broadcasts will be conducted from Buggy One to select, pre-scheduled audiences in remote locations.
- The panel for university students includes Neil Hamilton (WWF-Arctic Program), Evan Richardson (University of Alberta, Ph.D. Candidate), Dr. Ron Swaisgood (San Diego Zoo) and Julene Reed (Apple Distinguished Educator and PBI Advisory Council member)
- Participants will be able to ask questions and have them answered by the experts on our panel in real time.
- The curriculum is targeted to university students, but can be easily adapted to other audiences.
- Complete lesson plans with pre- and post-conference activities will be available.
- The learning approach is challenge-based.
- The video conferences are by prior arrangement only, but the webcasts are open to anyone who logs in.
- All sessions will be archived for later viewing.
