A Front Row Seat on the Tundra!
Secondary students in remote locations will be able to join us for live broadcasts from the shores of Hudson Bay as Polar Bears International once again launches its "Tundra Connections" outreach from "Tundra Buggy One."
The sessions will take place during the polar bear migration in Churchill. The week devoted to secondary schools includes both webcasts and video conferences:

The sessions will take place during the polar bear migration in Churchill. The week devoted to secondary schools includes both webcasts and video conferences:
- The sessions will focus on polar bears and climate change.
- The broadcasts will be conducted from Buggy One to select, pre-scheduled audiences in remote locations.
- The panel for secondary schools includes Ian Martens (Parks Canada), Alicia Shelley (Columbus Zoo), Bill Winhall (SeaWorld San Diego) and Bill McClain (St. George's Independent School in Collierville, Tennessee)
- Participants will be able to ask questions and have them answered by the experts on our panel in real time.
- The curriculum is targeted to secondary schools, but can be easily adapted to elementary students or other audiences.
- The learning approach is challenge-based.
- Complete lesson plans with pre- and post-conference activities will be available.
- The video conferences are by prior arrangement only, but the webcasts are open to anyone who logs in.
- All sessions will be archived for later viewing.
