Kudos to PBI Project Polar Bear Contest Winners

We're amazed by the accomplishments of the Grand Prize and Second Place Winners in our annual Project Polar Bear Contest, which challenges teens to reduce CO2 in their home communities. We honored the 2009 winners at an Awards Ceremony in San Diego, CA, on April 23. Together the winning teams reduced carbon emissions by nearly 100 million pounds!

Grand Prize Winners (two teams tied)

  • Canuck Nanucks of Winnipeg, Manitoba
  • There for Tomorrow, Louisville Zoo & Aquarium

Second Place Winners (two team tied)

  • Green Trees of Tulsa, Tullsa Zoo & LIving Museum
  • Polar Parktection, Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium
