Critics Warn About Arctic Ocean Drilling

Alaska Native groups and environmentalists are concerned that a major spill in Alaska's Chukchi Sea would have a catastrophic effect on the region's wildlife and the environment, including polar bears. At stake are drilling leases issued to Shell Oil by the federal Minerals Management Service that are set to begin this summer in the Chukchi Sea, home to two populations of polar bears.
