PBI's network of Arctic Ambassador Centers deliver a powerful message: "Together we can save polar bears and the Arctic, but we must act soon."
PBI Arctic Ambassador Centers
- Educate the public about climate change and how we each can help
- Provide leadership for carbon emission reductions in their communities
- Include leading zoos, museums, science centers, and aquariums
Those with Polar Bears
- Strive for bear-friendly exhibits with lots of enrichment activities to stimulate the bears to be active and content
- Support PBI research projects to help conserve wild polar bears
- Play a key role in the PBI Sustainability Alliance, a front-line team helping to save polar bears in a rapidly warming Arctic
Diplomatic Passport
PBI Arctic Ambassador Centers have access to all PBI programs. They spread the word about polar bears and sea ice loss— and inspire individual action. Programs include:

- PBI Tundra Connections broadcasts
- PBI Project Polar Bear Contest for young people
- Be Cool for Polar Bears workshops and outreach
PBI also provides each center with unique teaching materials like a polar bear skull and claw replica, polar bear fur, a real satellite collar, and fabulous photos of polar bears and the Arctic.
