Leadership Camp

Leadership Camp participants explore the spongy tundra near Churchill, Manitoba, part of an ecosystem threatened by global warming. After a week of intensive training and bonding, graduates return home to launch action programs in their communities that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Details...

PBI Leadership Camps are focused on creating community change leaders who want to advocate—either personally or through their organization—for greenhouse gas reductions to save polar bears. Attendees arrive receptive, eager, and creative. They leave educated, inspired, and empowered to make a difference.

Campers observe polar bears in the wild and learn about climate change first-hand from experts while aboard mobile classrooms on the tundra near Churchill, Manitoba. PBI Leadership Camps:

  • Focus on polar bears, their sea ice habitat, and what can be done to ensure their survival
  • Offer structured and unstructured sessions presented by renowned scientists, educators, and community members
  • Emphasize knowledge, judgment, and action
