Notes:
Repair of Magnet’s fractures was by internal fixation with double plating. Post-operatively, a full-limb fiberglass cast was placed on the leg and Magnet was kept in a small pen for 11 weeks before returning to the exhibit. His cast was changed multiple times in that period. He was observed to chew on the cast after 7 weeks with it.
RADIUS: 6 hole human tubular bone plate on dorsomedial aspect, 8-hole femoral bone plate on dorsolateral surface, 4.5mm screws used
ULNA: human spoon (T-shaped) bone plate on lateral aspect with (7) 4.5mm cortical screws
