Notes:
Our third case is Maggie, an 18-year-old female from Buffalo Zoo. She was pushed into the moat by a male bear and was subsequently non-weight-bearing lame in the left forelimb. Physical examination revealed swelling and crepitus in the left antebrachium. Radiographs revealed a non-displaced greenstick fracture of the radius (distal radial diaphysis). A greenstick fracture is the bending of a bone with an incomplete fracture at the convex aspect of the curve only.
