U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Publications

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is responsible for conserving polar bears within the U.S. It also recommended that the polar bear be listed as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act.

Every year, the USFWS conducts vital research on polar bear populations. As part of its public outreach program, the service publishes informative newsletters and fact sheets on polar bears, covering topics from current research to safety issues.
