It’s a picnic! Polar bears on shore during summer months sometimes come across carcasses of beached whales and walruses. What a treat, hmmmm?

Biography:

Hi, Photobucket
My name is Rick Yazzolino and I work for the Oregon Zoo. I have a degree in climatology and biology science. I started out my career as a Show Performer working with Eagles, Hawks, Owls, and Falcons. I then went on to work with Bears, and Tigers. I now work with Humboldt Penguins managing a colony of 26 birds. My love is teaching kids about the beauty of these animals.
My expectations are to see these beautiful animals in their natural habitat and to see what actually is happening to them outside of the zoo bars first hand rather than reading about them or hearing about them second hand.
In five years, with the help of PBI and my innate love of animals I hope to go back to Portland and spread the knowledge that I have gained while in Churchill, on the plight of the polar bear.
