I live on the Gold Coast in Australia, with my mum, my dad, my brother, and my small dog, "Teddy." I am currently in year 11 at Saint Stephens College. I enjoy school, and I love science. I am currently the University of Queensland Science Ambassador for Saint Stephens. This means that I promote science and participate with students from younger grades in different science activities and events. My favorite subjects at school are biology, drama, and chemistry (when it’s not too hard!). I have a strong interest in learning about how the world and its life forms operate, and the different theories behind them. When I graduate high school, I plan on studying something in the field of “health science.” I am interested in the human body, and also genetics.
Currently, my weekends are taken up by school work, my job, and spending time with the important people in my life. I enjoy working at the Oxenford Medical Centre, which is my local doctor’s surgery. I like to hang out with my friends, go to concerts, ride motorbikes with my brother, exercise, try new things, and meet new people.
I think at times I’m quite extreme. I enjoy doing exhilarating things. I have bungee jumped from above water, swam with sharks at SeaWorld, climbed the Eiffel Tower, snow skied down Mt. Ruapahu (unsure of the actual spelling) and come within five meters of a wild lion.
I love to travel. So far in my life, I have visited seven different countries, and I plan on visiting many more. This year in June, I am going to South Africa with a group of students from around the world to assist in under privileged communities for three weeks. Out of this experience, I hope to have a broader scope on the world and have an everlasting impact on somebody else’s life as well.
Some of my dislikes include people eating with their mouth open or rubbing their eyes. They are just random pet hates, but they are two things that always seem to get on my nerves! Haha!
My favorite animal in the whole world is the African Elephant. I fell in love with a baby elephant and ever since then I can’t get enough of them. It amazed me watching them play in a water hole, and the way that they fight and splash each other just like we do.
I believe my mum is my best friend. She is the most influential person in my life and I love the way I can tell her ANYTHING and she will never tell anyone. We keep each other smiling while my dad is away on business overseas.
So that’s just a little bit about me, and my life.
