Carbon Busters

Season:
Fall

Adult Advisor:
Jennifer Whitener
Team Members:
Karell Abdul (age:14)
Hannah Mueller (age:17)
Sruti Jamalapuram (age:16)
Project Category:
Close the Loop
Project Outline:

We hope to partner with a local high school, and start a composting program at their cafeteria. Ideally, we would like to have the students use the compost on their school garden. We plan to work at the same high school as the GreenTervention teens and work in cooperation with them. That way, each of our projects will reduce carbon individually, but together they will have an even greater impact! If this model works, we would like to use it to create a "how to guide" to start a composting program at other schools.
