When the “Ice Girls”, Polar (Elizabeth) Blue (Carly) Snow (Katie) and unofficial member Glacier (Olivia) aren’t making music (or playing sports, performing in plays, doing homework, writing for the newspaper, etc) they are working tirelessly to encourage their fans and friends to reduce their CO2 emissions and save the ice for polar bears. For this project they will use their fame and energy to introduce an all-new version of myActions to their community and promote its use. You can follow them through their blog as they go “on tour” for this exciting project. First they'll use their fundraising skills to raise money that their “fans” can earn for donations to Polar Bears International, the Cincinnati Zoo and an environmental project at their school. Keep watching as they use their fame, connections and tenacity to create publicity through newspapers, student assemblies, online stories, zoo appearances, promotional videos and possibly radio or TV appearances to recruit supporters and encourage actions. Learn as they do their research and use their writing skills to inform and entertain through their blog and success report. Wait anxiously as they use their negotiation skills to meet with school administrators, teachers, politicians, corporate leaders and others to cause changes in support of encouraging more actions and reducing CO2. And cheer them on as they produce real results through real actions, not hopeful pledges, saving the ice and polar bears they love so much.
