    This mother and cub wait for freeze up. It’s probably been four or five months since her last meal. Can you imagine having to wait that long for breakfast?

Individual Environmental Contributions!

All members of team Polar Bear PARKtection have either joined Project Polar Bear, or made Environmentaly Friendly Changes in their lives, in order to take action, and help to stop climate change!

Kaley has started to grow plants in her home.

Ms. George has helped her family start a massive garden and compost system own their own property!

Molly started the Avonworth High School Environmental Club, works as a volunteer for the Pittsburgh Zoo KidScience program, takes classes as a ZooU. student at the Pittsburgh Zoo, volunteers at the National Aviary, volunteers at the Carnegie Science Center's SeaScape Exhibit, has been an apprentice student at the National Aviary. After learning so much about Wildlife Conservation Through these programs and Project Polar Bear Molly has decided that in the future, she will be attending a Sea Turtle Conservation Program this summer and going on a Biology based trip to Costa Rica!

 

As we continue to encourage our friends, peers and families to make even more environmental changes, we believe that we can make a major difference in the world through Environmental Conservation.
