A walrus watches from a safe distance as a polar bear devours her baby. A sad day for the walrus, but a good day for the polar bear.

School Board Meeting

It has been a while since we have had the opportunity to update the blog: things have been as busy as ever.

On October 6th we presented our formal proposal for the Don't Be Idle Campaign to the Lake Oswego School Board. After the meeting with the Coordinating Council, we had made some small changes to the proposal, such as making the signs more "friendly". At the meeting we were given about ten minutes to present our proposal. After our brief talk, we were very pleased to hear the chair ask the board to approve the proposal as written. We were unanimously approved.

This was a major step forward for the Don't Be Idle Campaign. Being formally approved means we now had the backing of the entire school district: very important for a district-wide effort.
