Rachael, P. Bear and Bob Williams exchange a 'wealth' of ideas!
.
We’ve had some more people sign our Good Neighbour Pledge. Among the notables is Bob Williams, chairman of board of PBI-Canada.
We think that Mr. Williams smile is bigger than ours with the announcement of the International Rescue Centre for Polar Bears coming to Winnipeg. This is the fruition of more than 2 years hard work!
He tells us that he needs a bigger challenge than the 5 simple steps…and true to form supplies his own project: “what changes we could make to our shopping center in Dauphin to be more energy efficient and how we could showcase our conservation practices to demonstrate to the shopping center’s customers how they could also make change and save money.”
Some of those initiatives include planting 200 trees at the shopping center and changing the old Fat Albert lights to CFL’s.
That's about 450,000 lbs of CO2 - WOW, perhaps there's a new team in the making.
Leading By Example! Giant Polar Bear Hugs to Team Williams.
400 pledges X 4,330 =1,732,000 lbs CO2
