Frontiers North Adventures Conservation Journey

Experience bear season in 2026 with Frontiers North Adventures and see polar bears up close amid the raw beauty of the Churchill Tundra! From October 30-November 5, they’ll join Polar Bears International to bring guests a truly special polar bear encounter.

Guests will stay at the renowned Tundra Buggy ® Lodge, sleep among the polar bears, and take in sweeping tundra views from a Tundra Buggy. You’ll also enjoy shared meals and meaningful conversations with Polar Bears International scientists and staff.

This celebratory expedition includes exploring the Churchill Wildlife Management Area, guided tours of Churchill’s local and historic sites, informative in-field lectures, plus a dog-sled adventure and interpretive program.

Watch the Snow Bear Animated Short

This season, let Snow Bear warm your heart! This beautifully told short film follows a polar bear navigating a rapidly changing world in search of connection and friendship. Independently produced and entirely hand-drawn over three years, Snow Bear is the creation of celebrated animator Aaron Blaise. Infused with humour, emotion, and the timeless spirit of classic animation, the film reflects Aaron’s lifelong dedication to studying, illustrating, and bringing animals to life on screen.

Polar Bears International is honoured to team up with Aaron, who generously used his award-winning short film to help shine a light on the important work that Polar Bears International is doing to protect polar bears and their Arctic home.

To celebrate the release of Snow Bear, Aaron and his team created a family-friendly card game where players "make friends" by completing picture puzzles. Blending strategy and fun, it’s best described as Uno meets Rummy — an engaging game for all ages!

“Arctic Passages” by Kieran Mulvaney
